Found

"When you're lost, lost, lost in love, you never wanna find your way out. When you're lost, lost, lost in love, you never wanna be, you never wanna be found".
-Phillip Larue

I came across this song by accident while on youtube. I'm so glad I did because it's amazing. It's such a cheesy little love song. When you fall in love with someone, you never want to fall out of love with them. You want to stay in their arms forever and bask in their love. You can't picture your life without them. Losing them doesn't seem possible. You want to keep them in your grasp forver and always. You don't want to be found in this wonderful abyss called love because that would mean leaving it. So you stay lost forever, lost in love, never to be found <3.

Electric Chapel

"You want me bad, I think you're cool but I'm not sure (doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo). Follow me, don't be such a Holy Fool. Follow me, I need something sacred from you. It's not about sex or champagne, you Holy Fool (doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo). If you want me meet me in Electric Chapel." -Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga, Jo Calderone, Stefani Germanotta. whatever she prefers to be called caught my attention with this song off her latest album. As crazy as she may be, this song sounds quite serious. Lady Gaga seems to be mocking some Catholic schoolboy she used to crush on back in the day with these lyrics. After a few statements she repeats "Doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo", as if she's saying "Yeah right, it's all BS". I wonder who he is. Sometimes I feel like she's trying to tell this guy that if he's really serious about her then meet her at Electric Chapel. Not for the sex, and most definitely not for a glass of champagne--to show her how he really feels about her. Show her that your love for her is true. Show her that it's real. Show her how far your love will go. Go on, meet her. In Electric Chapel.

Tonight Tonight

"We're going at it tonight, tonight, there's a party on the roof top, top of the world. I don't know if I'll make it, but watch how good I'll fake it. It's alright, alright, tonight, tonight [...] Its you and me and were runnin this town, and its me and you and were shakin the ground, and ain’t nobody gonna tell us to go, cause this is our show." - Hot Chellae Rae

Let us start out with a round of apologies. I realize I haven't blogged for over a month. Between interning, my part time job (yes I had TWO jobs this summer) and studying for my ACTs, I just couldn't find the time. But I'm here now! School starts tomorrow and I don't know whether to be excited or scared about the first day of my last year of high school. -_-? :)? -.-? :|? ^_^?
Anyhow, this song is pumping me up for the big day tomorrow. I cannot believe that Sam from Glee (Chord Overstreet) is in the video for this song! It's one of those songs that make you feel like everything's gonna be fine no matter what. Just keep on rockin' and don't stop. Live for the day, raise your glass for tonight, and don't worry about tomorrow.

Underneath the Sycamore

"We are the same, we are both safe underneath the sycamore. We were both broken in our own ways. Shifting through the rubble for the wrong things." -Death Cab for Cutie

OMIGOSH!! This has become my new fave Death Cab song!!! Everytime it comes through my headphones I get so excited because I love it! I think Ben Gibbard wrote this one for Zooey. But then again, aren't they all for Zooey?? (LOL)
This part of the song reminds me of trying to find true love. We all THINK we know what we want in our soulmate but we don't until we meet them. Then we realize that they are what we need in our lives. That's when you know you're the same and you'll be safe with them, forever, underneath the sycamore.

Set Fire to the Rain

"I let it fall, my heart, and as it fell, you rose to claim it. It was dark and I was over, until you kissed my lips and you saved me.[...]But I set fire to the rain, watched it pour as I touched your face, well, it burned while I cried 'cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name." -Adele

This song is truly amazing. My mom keeps on asking me how it's possible to set fire to rain. I must ask Adele this when I finally meet her.
Anyway, the song is brilliant. She has a knack for making me feel horrible for messing with her feelings. It's really something to be in a relationship with a guy you thought would save you from your miserable state of loneliness, and then suddenly he becomes this absolute monster that you never want to see again. You tell yourself that you're done with him but you keep on letting him back into your life. But one day you put your foot down and set fire to the rain, watching it burn him as you cry because you know it wasn't meant to be. Not with him, at least. I really love this song so I made a video of me singing it. Enjoy!

The Mess I Made

"Should've kissed you there, I should've held your face, I should've watched those eyes, instead of run in place. I should've called you out, I should've said your name, I should've turned around, I should've looked again. But oh, I'm staring at the mess I made. I'm staring at the mess I made. I'm staring at the mess I made as you turn, you take your heart and walk away." -Parachute

Ok. Number 1)Parachute (formerly Sparky's Flaw) never fails to paint beautiful pictures in people's minds.
Number 2) This song is just beautifully gorgeously written and put together as a whole. Parachute actually made me tear up just now while listening to it again. Here's why:
People live life with regrets. Too many people. You go to a party, you see this really cute guy/girl and you leave without saying a word to him/her. It happens to people every Friday and Saturday night I'm sure. The worst thing about life is getting depressed over something that never happened because YOU stopped yourself. What we need to do is stop making messes and get the damn broom to sweep somebody off their feet.

Red Letter

"Took her hand in my hand as we walked out the door, hoped nobody would see us as we left that floor. I took my chances and led her up the ladder. I thought maybe I should tell her everything that I felt: How I played all the cards in the hand I was dealt. Tell her all like it was in a letter. I should tell her that I love her and I need her tonight, that the stars are only second to her beautiful eyes. I want her all for my own; I should tell her." -This Condition

Apologies again for not blogging for over a month. I was really busy after my birthday with a school trip to visit colleges which was fun. I didn't get to blog as much as I wanted to about the lyrics I write but there will be another May next year.

This song by the band This Condition is amazing. My friend introduced me to it. Nathan, the lead singer's brother teaches at her school so I NEED to get an autograph!! The song "Red Letter" is about how much a guy wants to tell his girlfriend that he loves her but he can't find the words. Instead he resorts to telling her as if he were writing her a letter. It's so romantic. If they ever make the music video for this song heres how I imagine it:
A teenage girl and boy at an outdoor summer party. It's a few weeks before summer is over and he may never see her again, so he decides to make his move. He dances with her and has the night of his life with her and realizes this is the last time he'll ever see her. When he sings "...that the stars are only second to her beautiful eyes" he looks up and realizes that night is falling and its either now or never. So he climbs up a tree with her and they sit there talking. Before the end of the video they kiss in the tree beneath the stars.
Pure Romance.

Rewind Time

For this month I have decided to blog only about songs written by muah, since it is the month of my birthday. This song called "Rewind Time" was written about 3 years ago:

Rewind Time

What are the odds?
That I would be stuck
Here with you again
Where and when
I never believed
It would end like this
What did I do wrong?
For how long

Chorus:
But I
Know that it’s impossible
Totally unstoppable
And it’s too late
What would I do?
What would I say?
What would I change?
What would I add?
Would I subtract?
Would it still be the same?
I wish that I had one more try
I’d get it right
I know I would
If I could rewind time

I would go back
To where we last stood
At the edge of the water
What’s after?
So many tears
Have rolled down my cheeks
Even I am blaming me
It’s incomplete

Chorus

Bridge:
So many nights
Been losing sleep
My heart still bleeds
For you and me
Let’s build a time machine
Let’s go back
Get back on track

Chorus

Rewind (x4)
The time (x4)
Rewind (x4)
The time
If I could rewind time

Baby
If I could rewind time }(x2)

Baby (x2)
You know I would
Only if I could

The song is about a guy and a girl (No I am NOT the girl, I promise. I usually write songs about a scenario I created in my mind about abstract beings I have never met. SERIOUSLY!) who have gotten into an argument. The girl wishes that she could go back in time to fix it, but she doesn't know what she would do (hence the contemplation over adding something, subtracting something and etc.). She's really torn over the fact that they've argued. In the beginning of the song she is actually imagining a meeting with him after the argument. During this unexpected meeting, she asks him for how long she's been messing things up--how long has she been making him angry. She asks this so that she could decide how far back she'll need to travel in time to fix herself before things go downhill in their relationship, but in the song, she never gets an answer. She makes it clear that going back in time is impossible, and therefore their breaking up is unstoppable, but if she could, she'd rewind time.

Never Gonna Leave This Bed Music Video

Maroon 5 - Never Gonna Leave This Bed by UniversalMusicGroup
"Take it, take it all, take all that I have..." -Maroon 5

So I know, I know, that:
1. It's been a while since I last blogged (so long I'm ashamed to count). I blame school--really it's stressful.
2. I've blogged about this AMAZING song once before.
3. My blog is going to be more about the video for "Never Gonna Leave this Bed" by Maroon 5.

This video is just so symbolic of the media these days. Adam in this glass box traveling through the streets of LA with his sexy model girlfriend is a great metaphor for artists in the eyes of the media. Everyone is always standing around watching, some puzzled, some sad (because they wanted Adam for themselves!), some happy for the two, and some wondering if life, love, and just people in general are even real anymore. It's just so upsetting that everywhere you look a celebrity is having a relationship that looks like it won't have any chance of lasting. And the ones that do make it make us wonder still, "For how long?"! What Adam says is promising though. He says, "Take it, take it all, take all that I have". And he seems to mean it in this video. Take my fans, take my house, take my fame, take my love, and take my shame, but let the world watch us front row seat make it together. <3

Also congrats to the Royal Couple! William and Kate: Long LIVE and Long LOVE <3

Rolling In the Deep

"I can't help feeling we could have had it all, rolling in the deep. You had my heart inside your hands, but you played it to the beat." -Adele

I heard this song a few weeks ago in the trailer for the movie I am Number Four. I tried countless times to find it and finally did so last week. I just love Adele! Never in a million years would I have believed that a British girl sang this! Her voice is so strong and powerful. I just love all the imagery she uses in the chorus. I think about greed when I picture rolling in the deep. Like, someone just won a whole crapload of money and they're rolling around in it. In this case the money is love. Whoever this song was about was love-hungry, and he didn't settle for just one woman, he wanted other lovers. He was a player and he played her heart to the beat. He could have had one love--one true love--all the love he needed, but he didn't think that would be enough.

Beating My Heart

"And then I open my eyes and I know you're beating my heart, beating my heart. Look at the sky I know you're beating my heart, beating my heart. I go extra miles to show that you are the one thing that I've got. Look at the sky I know you're beating my heart, beating my heart." -Jon McLaughin

This guy's voice is amazing. My best friend Samantha introduced me to some of his music and I'm in love. Too bad he's married. If any guy decides he wants to serenade me with a love song, his voice better be as good as or better than Jon McLaughin's. But anyway, this song is so cute, from the beat to the lyrics. I love how the song opens saying, "Sometimes every now and then I forget why I'm breathing out and I'm breathing in." It sounds stupid but it's true. You don't actually think about breating unless you're having trouble doing so. If you're breathing it obviously means you're alive, right? I think Mr. McLaughin is trying to say that he is breathing to remain alive for the love of his life, so she can "Beat his heart" when she finally finds him. She's going to be the only thing he's got to live for, or in other words, keep him alive. It's so cheesy and cute. I LOVE IT :) <3

Big Jet Plane

"She said, hello mister, pleased to meet ya. I wanna hold her, I wanna kiss her. She smelled of daisies...she drive me crazy. Gonna take her for a ride on a big jet plane." -Angus and Julia Stone

This song is so beautiful. The beat is so mesmerizing! Thanks to the Maybelline Fit Me commercial I saw last night, this song hit my ear. Omigosh!! I want to be taken for a ride on a big jet plane! Just imagine it though: A guy and a girl on a jet plane flying over the beautiful valleys of Australia (That's where the writers of the song Angus and Julia are from) and pointing out things. Then suddenly the two accidentally touch and share a perfect moment together. It's just so dreamy! The video is nothing like I expected but its amazing. I especially like the 'wind through my hair' scenes. Enjoy <3 :

Dancing Crazy

It has been a while.
I've been so busy and stressed out about school, but Miranda Cosgrove cheered me up the passed few days with her new song Dancing Crazy:

I’ve got a feeling that it’s gonna be alright
We don’t know where we’re goin’ and I don’t know where I’m at
I’m kinda thinkin’ I don’t like nobody else
You know whatever happens, I will be right by your side

You, me in the spotlight
Running around till the end of the night
Hot, hot keep it comin’
We can rock out till the early morning
You, me, going all night
We don’t care who’s wrong and who’s right
Hot, hot, keep it comin’
We can rock out till the early morning

Everybody’s dancin’ dancin’ crazy
And we never stop, never stop
Everybody’s ragin’, ragin’ crazy
Put your hands up
Put your hands up

I like you and you like me
We get together and we’re happy
Did you here me say that?
Snap!

And I like the way that we kiss
You and me together like this
Did you here me say that?
Snap!

Another night untold
Just crank that music up
We don’t know where we’re goin’
And I don’t know where I’m at
It doesn’t matter cause we always know what’s up
I know whatever happens
You will be right by my side
You, me in the spotlight
Running around till the end of the night

Hot, hot, keep it comin’
We can rock out till the early morning
You, me, www.musicloversgroup.com going all night
We don’t care who’s wrong and who’s right
Hot, hot, keep it comin’
We can rock out till the early morning

Everybody’s dancin’dancin’ crazy
And we never stop, never stop
Everybody’s ragin’, ragin’ crazy
Put your hands up
Put your hands up

I like you and you like me
We get together and we’re happy
Did you here me say that?
Snap!

And I like the way that we kiss
You and me together like this
Did you here me say that?
Snap!

Ohooo

Everybody’s dancin’dancin’ crazy
And we never stop, never stop
Everybody’s ragin’, ragin’ crazy
Put your hands up
Put your hands up

Everybody’s dancin’dancin’ crazy
And we never stop, never stop
Everybody’s ragin’, ragin’ crazy
Put your hands up
Put your hands up

I like you and you like me
We get together and we’re happy
Did you here me say that?
Snap!

And I like the way that we kiss
You and me together like this
Did you here me say that?
Snap!

I just love the song! It's so fun and carefree. It reminds me of a college party where you meet someone and you're just thinking the whole night, 'This is gonna be a blast!', and you let the whole night take you by surprise :)
