Found

"When you're lost, lost, lost in love, you never wanna find your way out. When you're lost, lost, lost in love, you never wanna be, you never wanna be found".
-Phillip Larue

I came across this song by accident while on youtube. I'm so glad I did because it's amazing. It's such a cheesy little love song. When you fall in love with someone, you never want to fall out of love with them. You want to stay in their arms forever and bask in their love. You can't picture your life without them. Losing them doesn't seem possible. You want to keep them in your grasp forver and always. You don't want to be found in this wonderful abyss called love because that would mean leaving it. So you stay lost forever, lost in love, never to be found <3.

Electric Chapel

"You want me bad, I think you're cool but I'm not sure (doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo). Follow me, don't be such a Holy Fool. Follow me, I need something sacred from you. It's not about sex or champagne, you Holy Fool (doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo). If you want me meet me in Electric Chapel." -Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga, Jo Calderone, Stefani Germanotta. whatever she prefers to be called caught my attention with this song off her latest album. As crazy as she may be, this song sounds quite serious. Lady Gaga seems to be mocking some Catholic schoolboy she used to crush on back in the day with these lyrics. After a few statements she repeats "Doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo", as if she's saying "Yeah right, it's all BS". I wonder who he is. Sometimes I feel like she's trying to tell this guy that if he's really serious about her then meet her at Electric Chapel. Not for the sex, and most definitely not for a glass of champagne--to show her how he really feels about her. Show her that your love for her is true. Show her that it's real. Show her how far your love will go. Go on, meet her. In Electric Chapel.

Tonight Tonight

"We're going at it tonight, tonight, there's a party on the roof top, top of the world. I don't know if I'll make it, but watch how good I'll fake it. It's alright, alright, tonight, tonight [...] Its you and me and were runnin this town, and its me and you and were shakin the ground, and ain’t nobody gonna tell us to go, cause this is our show." - Hot Chellae Rae

Let us start out with a round of apologies. I realize I haven't blogged for over a month. Between interning, my part time job (yes I had TWO jobs this summer) and studying for my ACTs, I just couldn't find the time. But I'm here now! School starts tomorrow and I don't know whether to be excited or scared about the first day of my last year of high school. -_-? :)? -.-? :|? ^_^?
Anyhow, this song is pumping me up for the big day tomorrow. I cannot believe that Sam from Glee (Chord Overstreet) is in the video for this song! It's one of those songs that make you feel like everything's gonna be fine no matter what. Just keep on rockin' and don't stop. Live for the day, raise your glass for tonight, and don't worry about tomorrow.

Underneath the Sycamore

"We are the same, we are both safe underneath the sycamore. We were both broken in our own ways. Shifting through the rubble for the wrong things." -Death Cab for Cutie

OMIGOSH!! This has become my new fave Death Cab song!!! Everytime it comes through my headphones I get so excited because I love it! I think Ben Gibbard wrote this one for Zooey. But then again, aren't they all for Zooey?? (LOL)
This part of the song reminds me of trying to find true love. We all THINK we know what we want in our soulmate but we don't until we meet them. Then we realize that they are what we need in our lives. That's when you know you're the same and you'll be safe with them, forever, underneath the sycamore.

Set Fire to the Rain

"I let it fall, my heart, and as it fell, you rose to claim it. It was dark and I was over, until you kissed my lips and you saved me.[...]But I set fire to the rain, watched it pour as I touched your face, well, it burned while I cried 'cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name." -Adele

This song is truly amazing. My mom keeps on asking me how it's possible to set fire to rain. I must ask Adele this when I finally meet her.
Anyway, the song is brilliant. She has a knack for making me feel horrible for messing with her feelings. It's really something to be in a relationship with a guy you thought would save you from your miserable state of loneliness, and then suddenly he becomes this absolute monster that you never want to see again. You tell yourself that you're done with him but you keep on letting him back into your life. But one day you put your foot down and set fire to the rain, watching it burn him as you cry because you know it wasn't meant to be. Not with him, at least. I really love this song so I made a video of me singing it. Enjoy!

The Mess I Made

"Should've kissed you there, I should've held your face, I should've watched those eyes, instead of run in place. I should've called you out, I should've said your name, I should've turned around, I should've looked again. But oh, I'm staring at the mess I made. I'm staring at the mess I made. I'm staring at the mess I made as you turn, you take your heart and walk away." -Parachute

Ok. Number 1)Parachute (formerly Sparky's Flaw) never fails to paint beautiful pictures in people's minds.
Number 2) This song is just beautifully gorgeously written and put together as a whole. Parachute actually made me tear up just now while listening to it again. Here's why:
People live life with regrets. Too many people. You go to a party, you see this really cute guy/girl and you leave without saying a word to him/her. It happens to people every Friday and Saturday night I'm sure. The worst thing about life is getting depressed over something that never happened because YOU stopped yourself. What we need to do is stop making messes and get the damn broom to sweep somebody off their feet.

Red Letter

"Took her hand in my hand as we walked out the door, hoped nobody would see us as we left that floor. I took my chances and led her up the ladder. I thought maybe I should tell her everything that I felt: How I played all the cards in the hand I was dealt. Tell her all like it was in a letter. I should tell her that I love her and I need her tonight, that the stars are only second to her beautiful eyes. I want her all for my own; I should tell her." -This Condition

Apologies again for not blogging for over a month. I was really busy after my birthday with a school trip to visit colleges which was fun. I didn't get to blog as much as I wanted to about the lyrics I write but there will be another May next year.

This song by the band This Condition is amazing. My friend introduced me to it. Nathan, the lead singer's brother teaches at her school so I NEED to get an autograph!! The song "Red Letter" is about how much a guy wants to tell his girlfriend that he loves her but he can't find the words. Instead he resorts to telling her as if he were writing her a letter. It's so romantic. If they ever make the music video for this song heres how I imagine it:
A teenage girl and boy at an outdoor summer party. It's a few weeks before summer is over and he may never see her again, so he decides to make his move. He dances with her and has the night of his life with her and realizes this is the last time he'll ever see her. When he sings "...that the stars are only second to her beautiful eyes" he looks up and realizes that night is falling and its either now or never. So he climbs up a tree with her and they sit there talking. Before the end of the video they kiss in the tree beneath the stars.
Pure Romance.
